Kyler Knapp is a senior at Eureka High School and serves as the Eureka FFA Chapter’s Sentinel. The role of the Sentinel is to be the chapter’s “cheerleader,” helping prepare the meeting room, welcoming members, and getting everyone excited about chapter activities and events. Kyler joined FFA because he has always loved everything related to agriculture. Two of his favorite Career Development Events (CDEs) are Agricultural Mechanics and Meats Judging because they provide hands-on experience and give students a real-life look at careers in the agriculture industry. Kyler believes students should join FFA because it is a great way to meet people with similar interests, build leadership skills, and learn more about the agriculture field. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing, hunting, working hard, and helping serve wherever he can through FFA and in his community.
